The patient is a 28-year-old male, returning for a follow-up visit. He complains of discomfort in his right eye. He is wearing daily disposable soft contact lenses.

The patient is a 28-year-old male, returning for a follow-up visit. He complains of discomfort in his right eye. He is wearing daily disposable soft contact lenses.
This patient reports discomfort in the right eye. You intend to check for signs of damage to the patient’s cornea, especially anything that may have resulted from contact lenses or wear practices. You have instilled fluorescein.
You will use either a diffuse illumination or a direct focal parallelepiped illumination to determine the presence of any of the following conditions: Punctate Staining,
Inferior Removal Staining or Corneal Abrasion.
