SMT-Bank is a Windows-based item banking, test construction, and test development support system. The system facilitates the storage of questions and graphics in exactly the same form that they will later appear on examinations. The system tracks item and form statistics, provides for equating, and handles literally hundreds of other tasks fundamental to the test development process. The system has been designed to be used in conjunction with computer-projection technology so that SMT-Bank is used as part of every SMT item writing and item review workshop.
