SMT Joins IAAMC

As part of its continuing commitment to the certification community, Schroeder Measurement Technologies, Inc. (SMT) has joined the International Association of Association Management Companies (IAAMC) as an associate member.

The (IAAMC) was founded in 1964 as the Multiple Association Management Institute (MAMI). In 1976, MAMI's name changed to the Institute of Association Management Companies (IAMC). To incorporate the global perspective, IAMC's name changed to the International Association of Association Management Companies (IAAMC) in 1996. Today its 180 association management company members (AMCs) work with over 2,000 associations with annual budgets exceeding $1 billion (US). These organizations serve approximately 3 million members. AMCs employ over 3,100 association management professionals.

SMT is entering its 10th year in business, primarily serving the certification needs of associations across the globe. SMT's clients include the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium, Inc (ISC²), the National-Interstate Council of State Boards of Cosmetology (NIC), the Computer Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the American Board of Neuroscience Nursing (ABNN), the Building Commissioning Association (BCA), and the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). SMT is headquarter in Dunedin, Florida, with additional support offices in Delaware, London, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.

In joining IAAMC, SMT demonstrates its commitment to the association community. SMT will sponsor a keynote session at the February Winter meeting of the IAAMC in Tucson.

Other SMT memberships include the National Organization for Competency Assurance (NOCA), the Council on Licensure, Enforcement and Regular (CLEAR), the American Board of Nursing Specialties (ANBS), the International Test Commission (ITC), the American Educational Research Association (AERA), and the Computer Technology Industry Association (CompTIA).
