SMT Opens Delaware Office, Adds Proposal Manager

In order to serve the certification community more efficiently, SMT opened a new Business Development office in the Washington-New York corridor in February 2003. Conveniently located seconds off I-95 in Newark, DE, this office now handles all SMT proposals and new business inquiries.

Currently, the Delaware Business Development office houses two SMT employees: Dick Soule, Director of Business Development; and Joel Karmazyn, Proposal Manager.

Joel Karmazyn joined SMT in February as our Proposal Manager in the Delaware Regional Office. Joel has 20 years of project and program management experience working within the public and private sectors. He also possesses 13 years of consulting experience where Joel prepared and presented complex technical proposals. Joel has worked for the State of Delaware, the Federal government, consulting engineering firms and held a lengthy tenure as a project manager at DuPont. Prior to joining SMT, Joel was Associate Director of Information Management at Wyeth Pharmaceutical in Radnor, PA. Joel earned his Masters in Business Administration at Wilmington College and his Masters in Chemistry from the College of William and Mary.
