Frequently
Asked Questions
Technically,
these haven't been frequently asked, but at least
one person asked, so we figured someone else might
have the same question. |
|
| Question: |
For Saturday testing, can
we designate which Saturdays we are open and which we are closed? |
| Answer: |
While the system does not allow you to designate
specific dates your test center is unavailable, you will always
receive an invitation for each requested testing date when in
advance (several months) in advance. You can then choose to
confirm or decline that invitation (although we hope with so
much advance notice, you can accommodate our clients' candidates. |
| |
|
| Question: |
Do you have any idea what volume we could
expect? |
| Answer: |
Unfortunately, we cannot predict volume right
now. This is a new service we will be offering, so we have only
one small client currently scheduled. We are going to be aggressively
marketing, however, and expect the volume to grow over the next
year. |

|
| Question: |
Can we list Saturday's only for a max
of 15? |
| Answer: |
You can designate which days of the week your
facilities are available and the maximum group size. In the
event we secured a client whose group size in your location
would exceed 15, we would call you well in advance to see if
an exception could be made for that client. |

|
| Question: |
It usually takes 2-3 months for our proctors
to receive checks from our college. Since it is extremely slow
process, I have a considerable difficulty recruiting a proctor
mainly because they do not want to wait for 2-3 months for their
checks. When we administer other tests, some vendors pay the
proctors directly. |
| Answer: |
Although we would prefer to pay our partners
directly, we can discuss special compensation arrangements on
a case-by-case basis. Drop us an e-mail to tell us what would
work better for you. |
| |
|
| Question: |
Can we also administer examination by
computer? |
| Answer: |
The SMT PPT network is specifically for paper-pencil
certification/licensing exams, however; our sister company,
Iso-Quality Testing (IQT) maintains a separate network
of computer-based testing (CBT) centers. if you are interested
in becoming an authorized IQT CBT partner center, please click
here (http://www.isoqualitytesting.com/centers.aspx). |

|
| Question: |
How are proctors qualified? |
| Answer: |
Proctors must be able to read, understand, and
follow directions in the SMT Proctor Manual (forthcoming) and
have no conflict of interest with the test they are administering.
Individuals who proctor exams at an academic testing center
are qualfieid. |

|
| Question: |
Are we required to test on Saturdays? |
| Answer: |
As a partner in the SMT PPT Network, you are
not required to participate in a specific testing event.
For each testing event, the SMT client will select a set of
test centers (those that are most appropriate for their concentations
of candidates). We will then issue invitations to the selected
sites, giving the client, test date and time, and the test length.
Partners can then choose to confirm or decline the invitation.
If you indicate no Saturday availability in your registration,
you will not receive invitations for Saturday test dates. If,
on the other hand, you want the opportunity to examine Saturday
test dates, you should indicate Saturday hours may be available
under the right circumstances. |
